A Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is a structured approach that ensures an organization can maintain or quickly resume critical operations during and after disruptions such as natural disasters, system failures, pandemics, or other emergencies. In healthcare organizations, an effective BCP is essential to ensure continuous patient care, staff safety, and the protection of critical services.
To strengthen organizational preparedness, we developed a standardized data collection form to gather essential information from each department. This form enables departments to systematically identify their critical functions, key resources, potential risks, recovery priorities, and contingency measures.
The information collected at the departmental level will be consolidated and analyzed to develop a comprehensive Organizational Business Continuity Plan. This structured approach ensures that all critical services are considered, responsibilities are clearly defined, and appropriate strategies are in place to minimize operational disruptions and ensure timely recovery during emergencies.
This initiative promotes proactive risk management, coordinated response, and resilience across the organization, ultimately supporting uninterrupted service delivery and patient safety.
